One of my long standing goals that I have for myself is to learn some new skill every year and I have had a lot of fun over the years learning new things or improving on one that I had started but didn't really keep up. I have learned to rock climb, play tennis, scuba dive, ran a marathon, knit and now I have started sewing. Celina was making all these cute sewing projects and I thought hey that would be a fun little thing to be able to do. So this weekend Celina and Lindsay came over and they taught me how to sew and I made two aprons in just a few hours. The second apron we just figured out as we went luckily I had Celina and Lindsay to guide me along the way but they turned out way better than I ever imagined!! It was a lot of fun but a bit nerve racking when I broke two needles (lets not mention that to my mother) and making sure I was stitching straight. We got the cute fabric from Ikea which is definitely a great place to shop for fabric especially thick fabric. Next is a needle holder for all my bazillion knitting needles so that they will be better contained instead of rolling all over the place!!

So cute!!! You should really make another one soon so that you don't forget how. And I would be more than happy to take it off your hands.....
You are way to cool! It turned out great. The yearly new skill thing is a great idea.
Just get some fabric and I will whip one up!!! Ikea has some fun fabric to choose from if you are up that way!!
They turned out way cute! Hey, what tack are you selling? I can't afford any, I was just curious (I'm always looking- you know how that goes!) I started sewing too. I did a baby quilt for a friend and I'm doing another one this month. Pretty fun and not too hard.
I love that fabric!
